Singapore - Day 3 (Jan-31)

We mainly took a rest today. Although we took a quick afternoon trip to Sentosa Island, which is a mix of beaches, theme park, laser night show, museum, kids rides, golf course, tram, gondola, shopping mall, ski lift, elevated train, metro stop, bus station, and taxi circle.

In the same few square miles, from the elevated train you can see a huge shipping port, and the largest single building development I have ever seen. They are building Singapore’s first Casino, it looks like you could fit the Great Mall of America in its basement. Apparently, there will be a stiff tax for locals to gamble, but it is a free for all for tourists to throw their money away.

Thanks to our friend Ranjit and Rohini for taking us out to an absoluately delicious Indian dinner (according to them, it's better than Indian food in India). Ranjit is Vik’s borther, who Vana worked with in the LA office. We are very grateful for their wonderful hospitality.

Singapore is a very small. In the short three days. We pretty much have been everywhere: Chinatown, River Front, Little India, Financial District, City Hall, and Sentosa Island.
Tomorrow, we are leaving Singapore to Bali. We'll be staying there for a week.
